FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I’m always happy to talk for free first to see if I'm a good fit for your needs. I know my rate is on the higher end, so I want you to feel sure that I’m the absolute best tutor available before we decide to work together. I'm confident you'll find the investment worthwhile.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
When I finished my studies at Harvard, I wanted to become a truly great teacher. Since then, I've taken every opportunity I can to make that happen. I've studied under field-leading educators at both Stanford and Harvard about what really works for student learning, motivation, retention, and confidence. I have a decade of experience putting research-backed theories into practice, and I have results to know that my approach works: my students learn, on average 3.8 years of content during the year they spend with me.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a student, I always loved school. In retrospect, it's natural that I ended up back in schools as a teacher–I just love teaching and learning! I started tutoring as a side hustle, but after my daughter was born in July, I decided I wanted to make tutoring my main work going forward. As a tutor, I get to help students in the most powerful way I know how: 1-on-1, with care and attention to every individual student's strengths, needs, and natural brilliance.
