Studio Lux Dance Company is the passion project of Carolyn and Stefan De La Rosa, full-time professional dancers with over 47 years of combined dancing experience and 38 years combined teaching experience. As teachers, their instruction is fun and engaging, yet sophisticated, clear, and informative. While you can learn steps and patterns from many teachers, they teach you to really dance. Drawing on their years of experience and training as a professional dancers, they incorporate principles of technique, feel, and mood to help you dance your best. They teach Salsa, Bachata, and Ballroom dancing. Whether you're preparing for your wedding or other special event, just dancing for fun, or even looking to compete, Carolyn & Stefan tailor your lessons to meet your goals.

Carolyn is an amazing instructor. As a total beginner, I was nervous at first, but she made me feel completely comfortable right away. Her teaching style is clear, encouraging, and fun. I can’t believe how much I learned in just a short time. Highly recommend Lux Studios for anyone looking to get into salsa or Latin dance.

Carolyn was fantastic! We took an intro class and 4 full length classes to prepare for our first dance at our wedding. Carolyn choreographed the dance for us at just the right level of difficulty. She was extremely kind and patient. Taking dance classes with Carolyn was one of the best investments we could have made for our wedding! We felt so much more at ease going into the night and our guests loved our performance! It was also a really FUN experience and a great way to escape the stresses of wedding planning. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer a 30 minute introductory lesson for $39 (solo or couples). From there, we have various lesson packages and pricing options.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Using our easy online booking system, you may select either Carolyn or Stefan for your first lesson. In our 30-minute introductory lesson, we learn about your dance experience and goals, show you some steps to give you a feel for our teaching style, and offer a forward-looking strategy to accomplish your objectives. We are also happy to answer any questions you may have in advance of our intro lesson online or over the phone.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have both trained under internationally acclaimed dance coaches since the inception of our professional careers, and continue to work with coaches regularly to constantly improve our own dancing, technique, and teaching skills.
