- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started my DJ career in the late 80's while on vacation with my Uncle in LA. Living in a neighborhood of pure DJ's, I would come home from his Summer job to the neighbors spinning 12 inch vinyls in their garage. I finally got enough courage to introduce myself and started hanging out with the crew going to house parties. One night they asked me if I wanted to give it a try and to their amazement, was right on cue with the beats. After that was my first set at a House Party, the energy I got from the crowd responding to my mixes was an incredible feeling. When I returned to the Bay Area, I was able to save enough money to buy my first DJ setup and the rest is history.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
DJ Jimmy Palacios, Jammin J, specializes in Weddings, Quinceaneras, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Corporate Parties, Nightclubs and more. Djing and entertaining the crowd with his music is definitely his passion. DJ Jimmy brings more than just the energy to the party.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I can definitely read the crowds and connect with them through my music and personality.
