Hi, I'm Kimia, a photographer based in Bay Area. I've always had a passion for capturing the world around me, and I'm so grateful to have turned that passion into a career. I specialize in Wedding/Portrait/Family/Engagement/ Maternity photography, and I love using my creativity and technical skills to tell stories through my photographs.
Photography is my lifetime passion. I love capturing people's most special moments. Having an art background and learning that academically helped me to bring a new vision into my work, besides that I always enjoy coming up with new ideas to make my works different.

Kimia did a phenomenal job with our engagementphotos. From when I first messaged her, to when she was finally able to capture the moment, she was nothing but extremely professional, helpful, and friendly. Coming from out of state, it seemed like a herculean task to coordinate with a photographer, but everything went perfectly and we could not be more happy with our choice to use her. I am so glad I booked Kimia for my son's wedding! The photos came out great! She was so professional and easy to work with. She showed up on time, took great photos, and needed very little direction from me, allowing me to enjoy the event. She didn't have any assistants or bulky equipment, she blended in to the event well, and everyone complimented me on my choice of photographer. The family pictures were great but some of the candid moments she captured were my favorite. I highly recommend and would definitely hire again!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try to make my pricing as accommodating as possible, getting hired through Thumbtack, my client is getting best deal.
My price is based on time of the service, there is a minimum one hour session fee and you can extend the time for additional hourly rate.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
when new client reach out to me, I usually ask about their vision and the ideas. if they need consultation I will set up a time to go over detail either through phone or zoom, this way they will have a chance to know me and I will know about them before meeting them in person of the date of the event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Photography is my always passion as long as I can remember, I took my first very photography class in high school working with film and developing film in the dark room! I got my MFA in photography from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and took multiple wedding photography workshop before officially start my career as an event photographer.
I believe learning must be part of my everyday life, I don't stop searching for what new tool and changes are happening in the market!
