Take classical guitar lessons with a seasoned, prize-winning classical guitarist! I am an active performer throughout the country as a soloist and member of the Pacific Guitar Ensemble. I graduated from the SF Conservatory of Music and hold bachelor's, master's, and professional studies diplomas.
I welcome students at any age or skill level! I focus on classical guitar playing but can also provide lessons in other styles.
I am very passionate about music and take joy in teaching this art to kids and adults! I focus on proper technique as well as musicality, and I understand different musical styles and music theory. I am patient, but I will also challenge my students to progress naturally.

Anoniy is an amazing guitarist and a fantastic teacher. Under him, I have improved technically and musically by leaps and bounds. I have been taking lessons from Tony for 4 months and he has spur a passion for guitar.

Tony is a fantastic teacher! His instruction is very clear and he is really patient with this students.
My daughter is thrilled to be studying with him and always looks forward to her lessons. Tony is very personable and pleasant to work with.
If you are serious about classical guitar and would like to develop proper technique -- then I would *highly* recommend Tony. He is an expert in his field and loves his instrument!

I've had two guitar instructors prior to working with Tony. He is by far the best. Not only is he passionate about music and classical guitar, I find him to be a patient instructor who listens and understands his students needs. He has an in-depth knowledge of music theory, a willingness to use various approaches based on student needs, and a talent for playing the guitar at a level which continually inspires you keep learning.

Tony is an awesome instructor and I highly recommend him! I have always wanted to learn and saw how patient and challenging he was with my brother and nephew and decided to finally take a shot at learning. He inspires me to practice daily and try to learn something new and take on challenges I would have been way to intimidated on my own. I'm still a long way from being able to say I can play but I know I will get there with his help!

Tony Kakamakov is an excellent instructor. His style of teaching emphasizes clear instruction, valuable feedback and creating attainable goals, all within a friendly and calm environment. The pieces he chooses for study are appropriately challenging and musically enjoyable. I recommend him highly!
