The biggest reason I would hire them again is their honesty and reliability. If they committed to something, they followed through. They were upfront about what they could and couldn't do, which I really appreciated. Communication was straightforward, and they worked hard to make sure the project was completed.
The painting, flooring (LVP installation), baseboards, trim, cabinet refinishing, and general finish work were especially good and offered excellent value for the money. The house looks much better after the renovation.
For electrical and plumbing work, they did a good job for the price, but if your project involves highly technical or intricate work, I recommend discussing every detail in advance and making sure expectations are clearly aligned. For work that requires the highest level of precision or licensed specialty expertise, you may want to consider a dedicated licensed professional.
His crew was hardworking, although they occasionally made small mistakes that required rework. The owner stayed engaged, addressed issues when they came up, and made sure things were corrected, which speaks well of his integrity.
Overall, they completed a substantial scope of work for me, including:
Bathroom fixture replacements, mirrors, lighting, caulking, and toilet seat installation.
Replacement of outlets, switches, thermostat, smoke detectors, lighting, exhaust hood, and other electrical improvements.
Whole-house interior painting, baseboard refinishing, drywall repairs, and vent cover replacements.
Installation and refinishing of doors, trim, cabinet doors, and weather sealing.
Kitchen cabinet sanding and painting.
Installation of window blinds.
Removal of carpet and installation of approximately 468 sq. ft. of luxury vinyl plank flooring.
If you're looking for an honest, dependable handyman who provides good value, I would definitely recommend him. Just make sure to have detailed discussions upfront for complex plumbing or electrical work. For general remodeling, painting, flooring, trim, and home improvement projects, I believe he offers very good value for the cost.
