Hello, My name is Dan and I used to be a High School Math Teacher. I have a bachelors degree in Mathematics from UCSD and over 20 years tutoring experience. I am available for online tutoring and some in-person tutoring in San Jose only. My area of expertise is any Math up to Pre-Calculus. I understand that Math doesn't come easy for most and I pride myself into making students feel comfortable and willing to ask questions they otherwise wouldn't in a classroom setting. I am so beyond grateful for Daniel. My daughter has always struggled with any form of math and was on
verge of failing Geometry.
In about a months time her grades have improved significantly, but important than that she feels good about herself.
Daniel did that for her, she
had herself convinced that she just couldn't do it but Daniel found a way to get through to her and she really is doing so much better.

Daniel was the first tutor I've hired on T.T and he has been astounding. My son ( 17) was failing Honors Geometry and after working together with my son over a month his grades have continued to improve. But more importantly, his knowledge of the subject..
My son commented that he quickly understood each subject. He then would create numerous practice problems to solidify his knowledge.
All notes Daniel take he puts into a document for my son to access.
He's always on time, flexible and available in a pinch.
He's also relatable and cool!!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $55/hour. Sessions can be as short or as long as necessary and I will just pro-rate it, so you pay for what you need and no more. I'm even available if your student is stuck on one simple problem. Also if you refer another student to me, you will receive additional discounts!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new student, it's important to get a baseline. I'd like to see where your student is at and build from there. I don't believe in adding more work, however, Math builds upon previous knowledge and without that foundation is it very difficult to build a solid structure.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have three years teaching experience in the classroom and over 15 years tutoring experience. I have worked with children and adults in all age ranges and all different abilities.
