Introduction: I bring a measure of wisdom and maturity to my discipline. We work on perfecting our form, not just because it looks good, but more importantly, because good form means technique that works. My standards are exacting, and my methods are effective. I leaven hard training with ease and good humor. I never lose patience, and never ask my students to do what I cannot do myself. I enjoy all aspects of my work. It provides me the opportunity to help students learn effective self-defense skills, get into shape, develop confidence and grace, and over time refine their character by means of challenging training. Traditional martial arts is unique in that they are a comprehensive form of training, of body, mind, and spirit.
