Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I handle each case personally from start to finish. At some law offices, you only meet the attorney briefly, or you don't even meet the attorney at all. Your case gets handled by legal assistants who do all the work for the attorney under the attorney's name. I'm different. When you hire me, you get my personal service and attention. I get a sense of satisfaction out of knowing that I'm helping people to overcome debt problems and financial problems in order to get a 'fresh start' at life.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Yes. Attorneys are required to attend continuing legal education courses. An attorney can be audited by the State Bar Association to make sure that the attorney has earned the required numbers of credits from attending continuing legal education courses. I make an effort to go beyond just the 'minimum' number of credits required to satisfy the State Bar Association.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I 'ended up' becoming a bankruptcy attorney. My first job after law school was with an attorney who handled trusts, wills, estate planning, and probate matters. He supplemented his income with Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. What he had in mind for me was to have me handle the bankruptcy cases, although I was actually interested in the probate cases. My bankruptcy experience from that first job led to my second job, with a law office that needed someone to handle the bankruptcy cases. Then my bankruptcy experience from the second job led to my third job, with a law office that needed help due to an increase in bankruptcy filings during the recession.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If you are looking for a bankruptcy attorney, then you are probably going through financial problems. So you probably want to save money. However, looking for the cheapest attorney is not the best idea, because sometimes "cheap lawyer" = "cheap service." Go with the attorney you like, not just the one who's the cheapest.
