FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We're offering 30% off labor through September 30, 2026 — a real discount, not a markup we discount back. Beyond the promo: every job gets a clear, itemized quote up front, usually same-day or same-week. No surprises, no upsells. If scope changes mid-job, we tell you before we touch anything. Permits and PG&E coordination are spelled out, not snuck in.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Easy, and mostly from your phone. Three steps: (1) Quick Quote — Book a 15-minute Zoom with our lead electrician. No trip to your house needed — just show us the area on your phone, and you'll get a fast, itemized estimate (usually same-day). (2) Plan & Prep — Once you approve, we order parts, pull permits, and lock in timing before anyone steps on site. (3) Install & Update — Track everything in your client portal — schedule, progress photos, invoices — so you're never wondering where things stand. One point of contact the whole way. No phone tag.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our president and cofounder, Mark Lounsbury, brings over a decade of experience as a licensed electrician and general contractor — including running his own high-end residential firm before launching Gridwise. He leads the team and personally scopes every new project on the free video estimate. Gridwise holds a California C-10 electrical contractor license (#1146992), and every tech meets or exceeds state safety and workmanship standards. We also hold manufacturer certifications on the brands we install most — Span, Schneider, Tesla, and Enphase — so the work meets each manufacturer's spec, not just code.
