FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Get to know their lifestyle. If you're an active individual, your treatment differs from that of someone not so active. Depending the sport you're into will also depend on your target areas.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I work mainly with professional athletes all day and it is at a chiropractic office. Part of my education and most of my training has been sports massage, deep tissue and scar tissue repair.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
In 2011, my mom ended up having to get surgery on her low back due to a couple herniated discs. She didn't have any insurance so she opted to get the surgery in TJ. Between my sister, my brother and myself, we came up with the funds for her to get the surgery done since it wasn't something that we could wait on. The surgery was a great success. However, due to her posture being corrected, she was having muscle pains. The doctor told her she was going to need therapy. I didn't want her to spend money she didn't have, so I decided to go to school to become a massage therapist. My mom has been my guinea pig from day one. She hasn't complained at all.
