FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by the project: one fee, all inclusive. I determine that fee by reviewing the manuscript, if there is one, and considering both the author's intentions for the book and the budget they have set to make their dream come true. I am open to negotiation, I take payment plans and credit cards, and I will bend over backwards for an author and project I think has strong potential.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The book business is just that: a business. It depends on the craft and artistry of authors, of course, but once the manuscript is completed and polished, the rest is all bottom-line-oriented business.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Ghostwriting is a vocation, not an avocation. Professional ghosts and editors do not work on "spec"; they charge a reasonable fee and provide quality, professional service in return.
