- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Diagnose in Shop: $49. this goes away if you need more work. I fix a lot for just Diag Fee. Simple power supply labor replace and clean out is covered in Diag fee. Field Work $95 Shop Work $80
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we define the problem usually by having the client describe in their words. Then we may ask for show me the problem with client driving the computer. If it is a repeatable problem then we take over. If not repeatable we look at Computer Logs and may do some disk Checks and or Memory Tests. If it is going to take more than 1.5 hours then I will recommend that I take back to my shop and working on at shop rate rather than field rate.

Thirty plus years of working on every version of Windows and Microsoft Servers and Mac as far back as OS7. Engineering Technology Degree. HP Test Engineer on HP3070 and Genrad board test factory trained at both.
