Kiel Weddings is a collaboration between industry service providers who have worked together and combine their talents to provide high-quality, seamless service for your event. We specialize in Weddings, but can outperform our competitors on any event. Dillon Kiel AKA DJ Dillon / Marc Dillon is the Owner/Operator of Kiel Weddings, which is based in Santa Barbara, CA. We are willing and able to travel to anywhere a Car, Train, or Plane can take us, so consider us whatever the location may be!!! It's true of every event, but especially with weddings, I absolutely love the feeling that comes with knowing that a couple had an amazing wedding and have had an experience with their best friends and family they will cherish for the rest of their lives. I know how important my wedding was to me, and helping couples have the time of their lives is why I do it.

One of our best decisions when planning our wedding was deciding to work with Dillon! He was incredible! We didn't have to worry about anything with him besides sending him a must play list. He was fun during the reception, but not like some DJ's that think the wedding is all about them. We had so many compliments from our guest about him and the music he played and how nice he was! We had a beach wedding and people in the back row could hear our vows.. the quality was awesome. I would recommend Dillon to anyone in the area looking for a DJ for their event! Thank you, Dillon- you rock!

DJ Marc Dillon was incredible. We had our wedding in San Luis Obispo and if you plan on having yours anywhere in the Central Coast than this is your man! He was extremely professional, attentive and always available via email for any questions or concerns we had. More importantly he didn't make it about himself and his talents but truly listened to our style and what we wanted. His library of music is insane! Essentially we sent him a list of must play songs and music that we liked and he sent us back great recommendations for additional songs in the same genre. After a few weeks we finalized the list and it was perfect. We wanted our wedding to be more of a party/celebration with great music and lots of dancing and DJ Marc Dillon performed flawlessly. He was extremely thorough, very well prepared, and his equipment was top notch. Great speakers, light effects and two setups (One for the ceremony music and one for the reception area). Looking beyond his talents and what he loves to do, DJ Marc Dillon was one of the nicest guys we have ever met. Warm, funny and very approachable, he took all the stress away from planning one of the more important parts of our wedding. His wife, Lucia, is a sweet heart as well. She was our wedding photographer and took the most stunning pictures of our entire day - From getting dressed up until the very last song. They are a fantastic team and work very well together. We couldn't recommend a better person for the job than Dillon. He went above an beyond to get us what we wanted and his talent, level of professionalism and personality is second to none. 5 Stars for an outstanding DJ and we are honored he was a part of our big day!

We are very lucky we found Marc on Thumbtack and basically we will be using Thumbtack for other services we will need in the future because of the wonderful job Marc did at our wedding. We are very satisfied. Our wedding was on a Ranch in San Luis Obispo named La Cuesta Ranch so that you can search it and see for yourself the size of the venue. The ceremony, happy hour, and reception where held outside.We also had an area where we had lawn games for example corn hole , giant jingo and bocce ball. Marc had enough equipment that he was able to handle all these areas of this large venue. We had ambience music playing prior to the ceremony to set the mood and then back ground music in all these areas during the happy hour. The music never stopped and was at the perfect level for every faucet of our special day. Marc did an awesome job being our MC and was perfect with our timeline and working with our day of coordinator. We wanted a special grand entrance when being introduced as Mr. and Mrs. for the first time that needed perfect timing with the Barn doors opening with our song and me bracing my bride in my arms with a kiss. His timing was right on with the song and was perfect. He played all our songs that we requested and was able to work in some songs that where perfect with our songs that kept everyone dancing thru the night once the dance floor opened in the barn. We had a family friend play a couple of songs from his guitar and was able to plug right into Marc's equipment with ease. He was able to wire the officiant and have a microphone for a prayer during the ceremony and also for another prayer blessing the food at the reception that went flawless. Not one squelch noise! It was perfect. This was a destination wedding since we live down near LA which makes planning a wedding difficult not being able to meet with vendors. He was very easy to work with and really put us at ease. He is very reasonably priced compared to other MC/DJ's that we had quotes from before we found Thumbtack that led us to him. No buyers remorse from us. You will not have any also! I hope you hire him for your special day and it is as spectacular as ours was. Thank you Marc Dillon! Ted & Kaylin Hermosa Beach, CA

Dj Marc Dillon could not have been a better dj. He literally nailed it and was soooooooooooo incredibly sweet and involved the entire time. He was super professional and thrived at being our emcee as well. Thank u Marc Dillon for making our day so personalized and special. We will never forget it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 💞💞💞💞💞💍💍💍💐💐💐💒💒💒

Working with Dillon was a total pleasure. From the get go, he was accommodating and very professional. He scoped the venue way in advance to make sure all bases were covered. His knowledge of music, what to play and when to play it was outstanding. At one point ,he had everyone on their feet "dancing to the music". We recommend him hands down. Oh and his price is very reasonable. A quality human being !!!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I (the main DJ), apprenticed with one of the top wedding DJ's in California, and still subcontract services for him and his company in the Santa Barbara area on a regular basis. Our photographer, Lucia, studies Film and Media Studies at UC Irvine, and has been working and training as a photographer for 15 years. Our band, Jet Trash, is an up-and-coming band from the Bay Area. They are extremely skilled musicians who have been part of many bands over the last 20 years. They recently released an album and are an amazing cover band, in addition to the incredible music they are producing themselves. DJ Paul is the lead singer and drummer of Jet Trash. In addition to writing incredible songs, he is also an amazing DJ.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    Generally I do weddings, parties, and club/lounge gigs. The weddings entail the most preparation and work. This is because not only do I play music, but I also set up the ceremony sound system, mic the officiant, and make announcements and introduce people. I work with the coordinator to make sure that everything goes smoothly and everything happens on time.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Find someone who is willing to work with you and accomidate your needs. You shouldn't hire someone who just wants to play his or her own music. Rather, you want someone who is interested in making your event amazing and fun for you and your guests.
