Amazing Stylist!! I had a last minute event to attend and had no idea what to wear. A friend of mine referred me to Kara and she literally put together an amazing outfit that I loved in no time at all. (And I can be picky!) I received so many compliments on how I looked that night and have to give all the props to Kara. From then on, whenever I need help with what to wear I always go to her.

Kara is such an amazing stylist as well as a wonderful human being with positive energy who is filled with creative ideas. She is so easy to talk to and can honestly make anyone feel comfortable. Even if you already have your own sense of personal style like myself, Kara can still help you! She has given me some great tips on putting together a wearable wardrobe and I wish I could hire her to shop with me all the time so I would never buy another piece that didn't fit into my wardrobe! What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
One year working as a freelance editorial, celebrity and personal stylist for Styled by Kara. Five years working as a styling assistant/intern for Dani Stone of Danistyle. Nine years working in retail industry as personal stylist for several boutiques. I have previously worked for Santa Barbara Magazine, and Santa Barbara Life and Style Magazine.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I obtained my first internship at the age of fifteen for Nordstrom in the retail industry and learned about all the career opportunities within the fashion industry. When I started working for Santa Barbara Magazine at age 18 I realized Graphic Design and wardrobe styling was a career I wanted to persue for my future.
