Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: We use only the finest ingredients and freshest local produce. Our beef is USDA Choice or Prime. We have an old fashioned way of doing business and it shows in the food that we serve. Another reason our food stands out from our competitors is we usually win cookoffs when we enter. There are a lot of good barbecuers in this area and we are very proud to be classified as one of the best. The best part of our job is having people come up to us and tell us what a great job we did and how delicious our food was. Repeat customers also makes you feel good about how hard you work. It helps make you forget the time you are shopping, preparing, and cleaning up after a job. It is a good feeling you get every time.

We hired Lonnie and Shirley's BBQ for our November wedding. They were easy to work with and had amazing food. We decided to have their cherry pork and our guest all raved about the food. It was a perfect dinner for our wedding day and we appreciate all the hard work the crew did with the set up and keeping the food hot! Best santa maria style BBQ around.

Lonnie & Shirley's BBQ catered my wedding and did a wonderful job! Everyone of my guests raved about the food. (the only compaint was that some of the beans didnt seem cooked all the way, but still had awesome flavor, that it didnt even matter) Some even asked if they had a resturant in town to visit. The staff was very friendly and made my guests feel comfortable and inviting to get seconds. Thank you Lonnie and Shirley's BBQ for making my wedding day feel complete with good ole fashioned BBQ!

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Corporate parties, weddings, family reunions are some of our popular parties. We also do traveling rv groups and police groups. The Fuzz that Was is our next group that we are looking forward to. We have traveled to Newberry Springs, Apple Valley, Barstow, Victorville and Phelan are some of our desert stops. We have gone to Hollywood, Los Angeles and Rolling Hills. We have served up to 1300 people at 1 time. Most parties are between 35 to 200 persons. Our minimum charge is $500.00. We serve really good food.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

One of our recent jobs required us to serve out 2 times for lunch that day. The first serving was to be at 11:00 am for lunch for the day crew. There were a lot of contractors from different states, some being Idaho, Alabama, Kentucky and New York. We hit the timing right on the number and was ready to serve right on time. After we finnished we had to clean up and get ready for another lunch. This one was to take place at 8:00 in the evening. We also hit this one right on time and all of the remarks were about how great the food was. Most of the out of staters said that this was the best meat that they had ever eaten. anywhere.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When hiring a barbecue caterer like us please set your time and try to stick to your schedule. We pride ourself on being able to hit your time within a few minutes. 5 or 10 minutes doesn't make any difference but if you tell us that you want to start serving food at 5:00 and at 4:30 you tell us that you want to wait until 7:00 we may have a slight problem. It is hard to hold barbecue for a couple of hours without it drying out.
