FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I think my pricing is reasonable, but I want my customers to feel comfortable and not stress on being able to afford it. With all the inflation happening, not everything has to be outrageous. I do have a cancellation policy, because I do travel up to an hour to about 75-80% of my customers, that if they need to cancel or reschedule that they at least call an hour prior to the cleaning. If I drive an hour to come and clean and no one is there or they change their mind at the last minute they will still be responsible for half of the agreed upon amount of the cleaning. If however, I am late anywhere up to an hour and they need to reschedule because of me, they will only be charged half the price of the cleaning on the rescheduled date. It goes both ways and it keeps me on time😊
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First things when meeting a customer I like to do a walk thru of the home and go to each room/area and see what they want done. That also helps me determine what things I need to bring in, discuss their preference in what products I use, especially when cleaning around children or pets. I like to keep it as minimal as possible. Then give my estimate and a rough estimate on how long it may take, or if I need to bring in a helper. Once that is done, set a date etc… The walk thru can be done before the day of the cleaning or the day of the cleaning. If they can’t be there for whatever reason I can do the walk thru via video call or just over the phone. Do the job and if possible, I like the customer to make sure I’ve met their expectations and they are happy before I accept payment and leave. I do however let them know that if it’s not possible for the end walk thru, should they find something over looked or not satisfactory I will come back to correct it free of charge of course. I leave them with my card and/or book the next appointment.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My mother was my teacher in my area of work. She was a very clean person and taught all of her children to clean up after ourselves. If we didn’t reach her expectations she had us do over and over until we got it right. It really used to irritate us all growing up keeping our rooms clean and doing chores before we were able to do what we wanted. But it taught me responsibility and to appreciate the things that I have and how to make them last by taking care of them.
