I had Kate take photos for my online profile. We met at her house and the job took 1 hour. The pro's: Kate's technical knowledge/skills are evident from the perfect exposure of all the photos she took. Her composition is very good as well. She's very methodical with the process, which is mostly a good thing because it ensures consistency and reduces mistakes. The quality of the shots were excellent. In the end, I got several shots that I was very happy with. What could have been better: Only two things I can think of: I was looking for candid shots, to make them look more natural and less staged. The diagonal angle and the blurred background in all the shots made them more like headshots and less like candid shots. Also, even though this is common practice by photographers...only including 2 photos in the price quoted and charging $15 for each additional felt a bit like nickel and diming, like the hidden fees on cell phone bill. I'd rather just have either 1) a quoted price for all the proofs (especially since I'm not using them for commercial purposes) or 2) at least list the cost of each additional photo in the quote.

Meeting and hiring Kate as our engagement and wedding photographer was one of the best decisions my (now) wife and I made while planning our recent NYE wedding. 

We met and spoke with many photographers, but the caliber of Kate's portfolio, her friendly demeanor and ability to answer all our questions made her our top choice. Additionally, we want to highlight her abilities to fully take advantage all environments we were in (e.g. natural light, low light, indoor, nighttime outdoors, etc.) and the speed at which she was able to capture such special moments. Her work is nothing short of impeccable and incredible.

There's no reason to hesitate if you're lucky to get to work with Kate. She's AMAZING!
