Introduction: I'm a Deep Tissue/ Soft Tissue Mobilization Specialist with a degree in Massage therapy and 5-Element Theory Shiatsu. Clients hire me for specific goal-oriented sessions which require my anatomical expertise and my assessment and analytical abilities. 20 years of experience as a practitioner and instructor. Anatomy based deep tissue, soft tissue mobilization, and PNF/stretching techniques are combined to keep your muscles in balance. House-Calls only. This is "Goal Oriented" massage therapy. Clients use this work on either a weekly or monthly basis to: --prevent injury --rehabilitate sports and work related musculoskeletal/overuse/repetitive strain injuries --increase range of motion/flexibility -- mobilize/remodel scar tissue ***And maintain the body through vigorous workouts and daily life to maximize their body's potential. I'm licensed in CA and NY, am Board Certified through NCBTMB, on the EDC for the FSMTB, and am a Therapist for the men's ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals). Previous clients include the Rockettes, Luminosity, and many professional, amateur, and recreational athletes. Unfortunately, I do not discount, nor do I have special or bulk rates for multiple person's or sessions, so please do not ask for an estimate.

John is the BEST!! I had a hamstring issue and went to 3 other therapists who could not resolve the issue. John really listened to me and within minutes was able to isolate the knot and work it out. At another visit he was able to relax my neck and shoulders. I like how he gives me exercises and stretching routines for ongoing maintenance. John is a very caring therapist and is more knowledgeable about muscles than any therapist I have ever met. I would recommend John without hesitation, you won't be disappointed!!

John is so intuitive and attuned to the body, he knows exactly what you need without having to tell him. Incredibly knowledgeable and skilled and talented beyond what one could learn in school. I highly recommend John to anyone looking to relax and feel good, to heal the body, or just get things flowing again knowing the stress and tightness we tend to carry. Lucky to have found John! He also healed an actual injury on my wrist through massage, so impressed.

John is THE BEST!! He always asks how I’m feeling and discusses any issues with me. He also suggests ways to work on my body in between appointments. He is very professional and down to earth. Makes me feel comfortable from beginning to end of each session. Each massage gets better than the last because he works my body according to what I need. He’s firm but gentle and always knows exactly what I need. He’s one of a kind and I’m so thankful that he is my masseur.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I prefer 90 minute sessions as most of my clients enjoy full body sessions with a few specific areas as the primary area of focus. I charge $300 for an hour and $450 for 90 minutes. House Calls Only (at your home or office) Unfortunately, I do not discount, nor do I have special or bulk rates for multiple person's or sessions, so please do not ask for an estimate. My rates are as is.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a phone conversation with first time clients to make sure their needs and goals match with the type of Massage Therapy I provide. Most of my clients have a team of individuals that they work with to maintain and improve their bodies. Massage is just one way to help them achieve their physical goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Dance, have an AOS degree in Massage Therapy and Shiatsu, and have National Board Certification with NCBTMB. Full resume and work history available on request.
