- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $40.00 per hour, but with a $100.00 minimum retainer that is applied to the first 2.5 hours. I estimate how long the assignment may take, and sometimes charge more money if the assignment is more complex. Prices for standard assignments are set forth on my Website.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I regularly attend seminars by the Los Angeles Paralegal Association.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I started my first job out of college, at the Torrance, CA courthouse, I realized I had an aptitude for legal work. I immediately phoned the UCLA paralegal program, passed their admissions exam, and started class during the fall of 1987. I completed my class about one year later, and immediately started working for Industrial Indemnity as a paralegal.
