Going through a divorce is not only traumatic and highly emotional, but in todays economy, it can also be financially crippling. My spouse and I couldnt afford attorneys, and we thought we had no options until a friend referred us to Elenie.
Elenie was professional, kind, and patient throughout our process. We had a meeting with her within a week of our free consultation. Her approach was calming, but directed. With her expert guidance she was able to help us reach an agreement within only one session. I dont think we would have had the same success with an expensive attorney.
I highly recommend to anyone needing mediation services to give Elenie a call. Her rates are very affordable, and she was very talented at getting my spouse and I to feel safe to express our true feelings. No one had to be the bad guy. When you learn that she has been doing this type of work for over 20 years, it makes sense, she seems like a natural.
I really cant say enough about how helpful she was during an incredibly stressful time in my life. And on top of her mediation skills, she provided us with the necessary forms to complete on our own, saving us from incurring filing fees. A double win!

Elenie Opffer, the Writing Coach, was nothing but WONDERFUL! I have not one negative thing to say. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE know that this is a real life review. I often wonder when I read reviews but this is REAL. I recently decided to leave my current job as a Superintendent/Principal of a small school district and wanted to start applying for new positions. The applications need to be submitted quickly and I had no time to compose the needed letters of introduction and update and revise my resume. I started looking at places on line that could help me. I had five different hits on Thumbtack and decided to go with "The Writing Coach". I am happy to say that I will keep Elenie's number in my contacts for years to come. I simply sent her my most current resume (out of date), letters of recommendations that people wrote about me, and job descriptions of what I wanted to apply for. She - painstakingly went through all of my materials and developed a BEAUTIFUL resume and cover letters that spoke to who I really am. I was SHOCKED how well she described me with never even meeting me. We did all of this on-line and through phone conversations. She is simply amazing. Her price is VERY FAIR! We go to writers because we ourselves are not confident in our own abilities. Writing is a skill and she has it!!! She was extremely fair with her hours and pricing. I will surely use her again in the future. SHE ROCKS!

I chose Elenie to help me develop the introduction on my website because of her excellent rates, her credentials with both a Master’s and Ph.D. in communication, and her over the phone explanation of her services which fit exactly what I sought. I’m creating my own website and I needed someone to listen to what it is I do and describe it well. She interviewed me to find out exactly what services my business provides and the method I use. She took a lot of information and wrote an introduction that was beautifully descriptive, accurate, and very succinct. It also had a very mercurial flow! I’m still working on my website, but when I launch, I know that people will instantly understand where I am coming from, and what my work is about. As my website expands, I know I will be needing more help and I won’t even begin to look for anyone else. I will instantly go back to Elenie. She is amazing!
