I had the pleasure of working with Lena a couple years ago before a trip to Spain and Portugal. Incredibly warm and encouraging, she successfully helped me brush up on my basic Spanish and gave me the confidence to thoroughly enjoy my time in Barcelona! Would recommend her without reservation.

I wanted to start learning Spanish while I stayed in US one month and I found Lena through Thumbtack. Although she was surprised that I chose her among a number of other teachers since she didn't have any reviews yet, I felt right after reading Lena's self introduction, that she is exactly that teacher with whom I want to learn Spanish. I encourage also others to choose other starting teachers without reviews and give them a chance, because my experience with Lena is very good. Lena is smart, interesting, friendly, talkative, always on time etc.
Probably it is impossible to learn a new language within a couple of classes (at least for me it is), but within this time I hope to get an overview of the nature of language and know some basic things. Learning with Lena is flexible - you can compose your lessons according to your personal needs and level. Lena always contributes my ideas and wishes, also offers them from her side as well.
