Only about 3 weeks before my wedding I found out that the stylist I had booked about 6 months ago had double booked herself and wouldn’t be able to make it to our wedding on time. I am so happy that I found Hair we go on thumbtack because Mandi and Erin who did my hair and makeup were amazing. They were quick to respond, came right to my house for the trial and to the location with their extensive kit. Not only were they super down to earth, friendly and easy to work with, but they executed my hair and makeup vision perfectly. Could not recommend them more highly!

Mandy was right on time to do two mobile haircuts for me and my husband. We had been sheltering in place for 2+ months with very overgrown hair. Every mornng was a styling nightmare for me. Our wedding aniversary is in 2 weeks and we just couldn’t take selfies in our yoga clothes looking like that! Mandy showed up with her mask on and did a perfet pixie cut for me and a very short cut for my husband, just the way he likes it, out on our porch. We will have her come back in 5 weeks to do cuts for us again plus highlights for me :-))).

Mandy was absolutely outstanding! I cannot recommend her enough! She was a consummate professional and easy to work with. First of all, I was contacting her last minute to see if she could do the hair the next morning and the following day at 6:30 am for two women leading a LIVE event at a San Diego Resort and Spa. Unfortunately, the original hair stylist hired to do the job, cancelled last-minute. After contacting a number of hair professional referrals by phone and being told it was just too last minute a request that could be met, I decided to look through Thumbtack as I had had a good experience hiring a hair/make-up artist in Cincinnati last May. When I read several of the San Diego hair/make-up artists professional bios, background and experience, I applied to several stating the last-minute time- frame along with the opportunity to meet two really phenomenal women leading the event. I hoped this would persuade the professionals to consider the job and respond. After reading all the bios, I was really holding my breath that Mandy would respond. I really liked what I read and she came across as a really down-to-earth person who I thought would be a great fit. She was actually the only vendor on Thumbtack who responded back to me. She was a delight to work with and did an absolutely fabulous job styling the hair of the two LIVE event hosts. The event hosts were so pleased with Mandy's hair styling talents and their final looks on both days! I was so pleased my gut was "right on" about Mandy as a person and as an artist. Next time we will schedule Mandy in plenty of time upfront. Thank you very much Mandy! It was such a pleasure working with you! HIRE MANDY!!!! SHE'S A PRO!

Amanda was a pleasure to work with. She did an amazing job on how I expected my hair to be on my wedding day. She was punctual, so sweet, and just very accommodating. I loved Amanda the moment I met her. She has the best personality and is super down to earth. She is the type of person you feel comfortable with and can talk real with. She is very talented and did an incredible job by transforming my long, thick hair into a Greek Goddess look. She did an amazing job with my bridesmaids, they all rocked the best hair because of her. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, we will communicate via message where you can send me photos of the styles you're looking to achieve. We will confirm the date, time, and location of your event to confirm availability. We will also discuss how many guests will be needing services that day. Most customers will schedule a trial appointment and we will proceed from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Cosmetology License. Extensive hands-on training. Product Knowledge Classes. Color Education. Make-up Class. Extensions Certified.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a stylist behind the chair for over 10 years, I am most proud of the client relationships built on trust. I practically grew up in a salon starting out as an assistant, establishing a loyal following, and eventually building a mobile business! Over the years I have collaborated with an array of hair stylists and make up artists with a passion for bridal! We love to be a part of such a special occasion and offer comfort and confidence!
