I had gone through several graphic artists previously, but realized that I needed to meed with the artist in person since I knew exactly what I wanted and communicating by email wasn't cutting it. Choon Lee came a long way to meet me at my office, completed the work very quickly, and was very responsive to my requests to change the first mockups. Couldn't ask for more.

This artist is a humongous talent. I searched locally and online for quite some time before I found Batdog Illustrations. The quality of the work is impressive. The responsiveness is timely and thoughtful. Because of my work schedule I'm not always available but we have worked it out to our mutual satisfaction. Brelyn is already ahead of the schedule we agreed upon in our contract. Seeing her bring my ideas and descriptions to life is exciting and so satisfying. She has enhanced by book in so many ways. The price we agreed upon is a tremendous value and I will be giving her a bonus. Hiring Batdog Illustrations is one of the best decisions I have made in a long time. I recommend this artist/illustrator to anyone who is looking for quality work with something special added for good measure. I could not be more pleased.

Working with Matt Geiler on my PosiKids Book Series was a wonderful and patient collaboration. As a first time author I made many mistakes that had to be corrected and Matt was so patient. The creativity and beautiful illustrations that Matt merged with my stories, were a delight for me and the reaction I get when people look at the covers of my books is the best compliment I could share. Hoping to work with Matt again on a second series!

We hired Ian to be the concept illustrator for a Sprint NASCAR ad campaign a few years back and he did amazing. He really studied each of the racers and gave them each beast monsters that related to their aggressive style of driving and personalities. The campaign did amazing. We won a ton of awards through the years and continued working with Ian. Today, we still work with Ian on storyboards, and concept art for pitches. He always makes himself available, is punctual, and has a great work ethic. -Phuong

Hello! I am an LA-based Illustrator and Designer. I am a graduate of Art Center College of Design having earned my Bachelor in Fine Art (B.F.A.) degree with Honors. My body of work consists of illustrative drawings and paintings mostly in gouache and acrylic ink. Working both traditionally and digitally, my work subscribes to a hand-made, colorful, and whimsical aesthetic. I have illustrated for clients such as GOOD Magazine, NAUTILUS Magazine, and CALTECH CONNECT. My illustrative style and subjects I gravitate towards are playful, poetic, and kid-friendly. "Fútbol! A Doodle Book on All Things Futbol" is my children's doodle book debut, published by Blue Wonder Books, and is available on Amazon. In 2014, I was fortunate to be awarded a scholarship from the Society of Illustrators' (New York), Student Scholarship Competition, and a Runner-Up honor from Creative Quarterly 37. Let's chat! I am available for full-time work, freelance commissions, and internships.

      About

Traditional illustration using graphite, ink, markers, colored pencils. Some Digital work for color touch-ups and editing. Services include: Caricatures (either on-site Los Angeles area only or email) Tattoo Designs Children's Book Illustrations Character Development and Design Brochure and Flyer Art Personalization etc.... The Process: #1 You give me a detailed description of your illustration. When it involves people, be sure to include race, skin color, hair color, attitude, outfits etc. (once a project is finished, these things can not and will not be fixed) #2 I provide you with a sample sketch, based on this sketch it is your last time to make any final changes to your piece. It is critical once again to let me know details, such as facial expressions, race, color, clothing etc. #3 I turn in final work and receive payment, at this point, the sale is final and payment is non-refundable since thumbtack collects a commission from me as well. Any further changes or adjustments to artwork from this point will result in more fees. Remember, you are paying an artist not just for the talent and ability, but also for their time. Thank You.
