FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is simple and straightforward: a 40-page children's book with 20 custom illustrations is $195 per month for 20 months, with no deposit and no large upfront payment required. Unlike most illustrators, I don't just create artwork. I help develop the story, provide editing assistance, create the illustrations, design the cover, format the book for hardcover, paperback, and eBook, register the ISBN, file the copyright, and upload everything to Amazon KDP and IngramSpark. In short, I handle everything a publishing company would typically handle, but in a much more personal and affordable way. My clients don't have to learn the publishing business or manage multiple vendors—I take care of the entire process from manuscript to published book.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by sending an NDA so you can safely share your manuscript or idea. After reviewing it, I provide feedback and create a complimentary sample illustration so we can make sure we're aligned on the style and direction of the book. Once we begin, I handle the entire process, including story development, editing assistance, illustration, cover design, layout, formatting, ISBN registration, copyright filing, and publishing setup. I prepare the book for hardcover, paperback, and eBook formats and upload everything to Amazon KDP and IngramSpark on your behalf. You don't need to learn the publishing process or manage multiple vendors—I take care of everything from manuscript to published book.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training comes from more than 40 years of hands-on experience in printing, publishing, design, and illustration. Since opening my first print shop in 1981, I've helped authors turn their ideas into professionally published books by combining storytelling, illustration, design, formatting, and publishing expertise all in one place.
