MY APPROACH:
My focus is making you feel comfortable, relaxed, and free to be completely and utterly yourself. I use fun, interactive prompts to get you (and your partner) playing. I want you to really see yourself or your relationship in your photos. That the atmosphere and uniqueness of your event is truly captured. My focus is on genuine connections, story-telling, and most importantly, you.
THE DETAILS:
- Session length: 1.5-2 hours unless stated otherwise. This gives us plenty of time to capture what we need, whilst having fun and staying relaxed at the same time!
- Delivery: an online gallery, from which you can download your images. Couples will be sent a gallery and be able to choose 15 retouched images, all rights included. Headshots will be able to choose minimum 3 of their favourite images to be edited, depending on the number of looks.
- LOCATION: I have a list of outdoor locations I like to shoot at for engagements and outdoor editorials. For headshots, I use a studio in Hollywood. I can also travel to a location you like, 100 miles within LA.
- TRAVEL: I offer the first 100 miles of travel (return trip) complimentary. Anything over will be $0.45 per mile.
- BOOKING: I require a 30% retainer in order to secure your session date! The rest of the balance will be required on the day of the session. The gallery will only be sent once everything is settled up :)

Working with Nathan was such a wonderful experience! My boyfriend and I did a shoot with Nathan, and he immediately put us at ease. This was especially important to my boyfriend, who isn't as comfortable in these situations. Nathan is warm, personable, and fun to work with! He was creative and inventive during the shoot, but also open to collaborating with us when we wanted to try something, no matter how silly it sounded!
We shot at a gorgeous beach in Malibu, and the pictures turned out better than I ever could have expected. We will absolutely be shooting with Nathan again, and I can't recommend him enough. Book with him today--you won't regret it!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Firstly, tell me what you’re looking for! Is it a family shoot, engagement session, a portrait shoot to add to your modelling portfolio?
From there, we figure out if we want to work on location, or in studio - I have access to a small studio in Hollywood on Saturday and Sundays.
After that, I’ll send you a questionnaire where you can share with me what your dream photography session would look like. Then we set a date and go about making that happen!
Please note: I take a 30% retainer in order to secure your date. Until that is paid, it is open to other clients. The rest of balance must be paid before your gallery will be sent.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 20 years working professionally in the entertainment industry as a filmmaker and actor, across three separate continents. That’s a lot of time spent around cameras, both in front of and behind them!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My gateway was film photography. I was living in London and wanted to capture my final year there of all my favorite people, places and things. So I picked up a dusty Canon AE-1 from my local charity store.
From there, I was obsessed. I dove into composition, exposure triangles, color grading, posing, studio lighting vs natural lighting. I dragged friends out so I could practice, and word of mouth started spreading. Suddenly, I was photography my first professional gig: a press night event of a top Hollywood theatre production, with a celebrity guest list!
But truly, it’s people and couples that I’m most passionate about. Capturing genuine connections, between you and your partner/family or just you and the camera, is what gets me up in the morning!
