Make the commitment to practice, i.e. do your homework. It wastes both our time and money, not to practice and study. Let the feeling of why you want to learn "that" song guide you. Remember that when you are practicing. And remember that when you are learning anything new, allow yourself to look or sound silly and make mistakes, it's OK and necessary. Failing is part and parcel or learning anything new. We just acknowledge it an move on.
