Introduction: My work stands out because what I create for my clients are custom pieces that are not only eye-catching and visually appealing, but also in line with the most up to date resume standards. Many of my clients start out discouraged as they are either unemployed or in a bad work situation that they are looking to leave. Many tend to have a hard time "boasting" about themselves and their skill set. I know what questions to ask to reveal the rock star in each and every one of them, and then I translate it onto paper. The fact that they get a renewed sense of self-worth about their abilities once they see their final product makes my day because I know they will proceed with their job hunt with more confidence.

I found myself unemployed for the first time in my working career of 30 years. I shared my resume with various peers for feedback and found that it was too wordy, too technical and too long. I was referred to work with Stephanie from a mutual friend and followed through in hiring her to whip my resume in shape. I was a little hesitant to hire Stephanie at first for the reason that I wanted to work face2face through the process to address questions and such, but after we got the ball rolling I realized that was not necessary at all as Stephanie made it a very stress free and streamlined process. She communicated diligently and timely throughout the entire process and I had a final product back in my hands in no time! Since receiving the final product, I have been contacted by several perspective employers and things are finally moving in the right direction. When Stephanie and I started to review my resume my needs, I thought my situation quite unique... To find a job that utilized past experience, yet with a completely different career focus. I hired Stephanie to help me revamp my resume. I had been using the same format for a long time. I thought my resume format was solid and that the wording was straightforward. When I got my resume (first draft) back, I was blown away. I could not believe how much better it looked and read. After reviewing my resume, I asked a few questions, got some feedback, we restructured some of the items, and the final resume was an excellent combination of what I wanted for my style and what Stephanie suggested I use. Definitely worth it! I have been trying to get a job at a big corporate company for 4 months. I submitted my new resume the day Stephanie finished it and I finally got an interview for a great paying job!! Not only the typical first telephone interview but a 6 person panel in person interview! Stephanie knew what sorting program the company used and designed a resume specifically for it. She also wrote my resume better geared toward the specific jobs I was applying to. It was very easy to communicate back and forth. She made sure she understood and researched all parts of my resume. Made changes that completely made sense that I never thought to do. She knows what she's doing and just gets it! I usually would just stress out and waste time on making my resume better myself but justified the small investment will give me more confidence and apply for higher paying jobs. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fees for my personal and customized services are pretty straightforward. Here's the basic breakdown: Option #1 Entry level worker: You've graduated high school, may or may not have some college under your belt, and have already entered the work force but want to move on up the totem pole = $100.00 Option #2 Professional level: Many years in the workforce, with or without a college education. You've got some good skills and want to be acknowledged for what you're worth and bring to the table = $150-200.00 (I give individualized pricing but this is approximate) Option #3 Cover letter: I create a cover letter for you that you'll be able to manipulate according to the various jobs you may be applying for. Add the cover letter option to ANY of the above options or just have me do a cover letter only = $50.00 Option #4 Consulting: You just want my opinion, you want me to just take a look at what you've got and give you some straightforward tips so you can fix it yourself? I can do that! = $50.00 Option #5 Job Applications: Does the thought of having to sit for hours in front of your computer to apply for positions make you want to scream? Avoid spinning your wheels trying to plod through the maze of confusing application sites by hiring me to do it for you. I just recently added this service as multiple clients were becoming frustrated and exhausted and begged for my help. Some were in industries not heavily reliant on computers, so navigating through an online job search was daunting for them. Many were becoming confused by the latest ATS (Applicant Tracking Software) programs and began questioning themselves, thinking "Did I submit that correctly? Will it get into the right hands??" Let me take the guesswork out for you. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am continually reading up on the latest HR industry and resume writing news- I attend webinars and seminars whenever I am able. I just completed a LinkedIn MasterClass and became certified to write professional profiles.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to launch my resume business because I was a recruiter for a large company and spent all day looking at resumes... about 80% of which were horrible. I saw a need, knew I had the skills to execute, and Artisan Custom Resumes was born.
