I have been a Photographer in Hawai’i for 4 years now and you can also find me in beautiful Lake Tahoe (which I happily call my 2nd home).
I specialize in portrait, couples, engagement, maternity, family & wedding photography.
One thing I am proud to gloat about is the fact that every bride who has hired me for their wedding, felt as if they hired a wedding coordinator as well as a photographer ;) to put things short, I’m a huge planner, I create my own detailed timelines for weddings (whether it be a 4 hour or a 12 hour wedding) & my OCD/anxiety gets the best of me so I believe that everything has to be & will be perfect lol.

So I contacted Stephanie about a month prior to my trip to Oahu about shooting my surprise proposal. She responded within minutes and was so excited to help me do this! I had it planned for Tantulus lookout but had never been so I didn’t know the small details I needed to plan it perfectly. Stephanie went above and beyond and even told me she’d go up there and find some good shooting points and help me devise the perfect plan. It couldn’t have gone any better! She pretended to be shooting the scenery up there and I asked her to take a photo of me and my now fiancé with my phone. She of course was more than happy to help and then Stephanie offered to shoot us with her camera “because she wanted to work on her portfolio” hehee! So for one of the first shots she had my fiancé facing the scenery with her back to me and that’s when Stephanie gave me the cue to get down on a knee. The utter surprise and shock of my fiancé was so special and we got it all on camera! It was perfect! Stephanie is true professional who takes so much pride in her work and she has an amazing eye. We got so many great photos in the hour and got some of the best pictures I’ve have had in my life. If you’re reading this review, don’t hesitate on choosing her! I promise you won’t regret it! We were headed to Hawaii for vacation and I decided to use thumbtack because I didn’t know another way to connect with a local photographer, and I am so glad we did! Stephanie met us early one morning before the sun was up and we immediately got to taking photos. They turned out so wonderfully! She makes it all seem so natural and we were laughing through the whole shoot! Not to mention, she had the photos back to us before we even got on the plane to go home! I definitely suggest her for all of your photo needs in the area!

There is nothing negative I can say about Stephanie. She worked with me for over two weeks planning out our surprise. engagement shoot. When the big day came, she didn’t disappoint. She made us feel so comfortable, it was almost like we weren’t having our pictures taken.

Stephanie helped us get some engagement photos while we were where it happened Hawai’i! She was so friendly and made it fun! I’ve never done any sort of photo shoot but she took us through the whole process, picking out some great angles of the ocean and the palm trees! Made this trip to Hawaii extra extra special ❤️

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are usually pretty reasonable and firm, however, I’m more than happy to discuss options with my clients, in case my price doesn’t necessarily fit in their budget.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get to know my clients straight from the start. If you can tell me a little bit about yourself, help me understand the type of person you are, what you like to do, even music you like to listen, etc..... I can create a picture in my head and it’s easy for me to come up with ideas for the photo shoot.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m self-taught when it comes to photography. However, I’ve been a bartender/server in almost all my jobs so I definitely would call myself a “people person”.
