After submitting my request in the Thumbtack app, I got a call from Be Free Developments in 15 minutes. The next day, Bar came to my home to do a walkthrough prior to submitting an estimate.
Bar was punctual, engaging, knowledgeable, sympathetic to our situation, had great questions, and walked me through all available options. His expertise was evident.
The estimate was turned around in 2 days, and my requested changes were turned around one day later.
Unfortunately, my original issue was misdiagnosed by another vendor, and we suspected a foundation issue instead of a subfloor issue. The owner that did the foundation work referred me to a contractor he works with, and agreed to cover a portion of the cost if I selected that contractor. This was a nice gesture, but that cut in price made it impossible for Be Free Developments to be cost competitive.
Under normal circumstances, I would have happily hired Be Free, and would have been confident going into the project.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bar and Be Free, and will be sure to reach out to them when my next project comes around.

Be Free Developments was amazing to work with from the start. They got back to me right away when I submitted the project, and the owner Bar came out the next day to give an estimate.
He is incredibly professional, and all of his workers are polite, punctual and respectful. They were also fast and even finished installing a French drain in 1 day so that we can beat the rain which caused the flooding in our downstairs family room.
They did the mitigation, installed a French Drain, and also did the restoration so it was nice being able to work with just one contractor for everything.
We had to buy new flooring and Bar was even nice enough to pick up the flooring and glue, and then went above and beyond and returned the extra materials to the flooring store so that we could get a refund!
Although he was not the lowest priced bid, we decided to go with him because he will warranty his work for a year, which was super important to us. Since our insurance company did not cover the cost, he was also kind enough to work with us on the pricing.
When his workers broke a corner of our TV stand, he even tried to fix it for us. Although we will have to replace the stand as the fix did not hold, we appreciate that he didn’t try to deny responsibility. I think that speaks to his character, and gives me confidence that he will honor his word if anything should fail within the warranty period.
Bar was super responsive whenever we had a question, and never made us feel like we were bothering him even though he had to repeat some answers (we are senior citizens so our memories are not the best). He even answered texts on weekends and evenings!
I highly recommend Bar and his company- he was a pleasure to work with and you will not be disappointed!

Had a great experience from the time I have posted the task on Thumbtack. Promptly came on time, gave me a quote, and gave me the rundown of the process and timelines. He provided photos and videos while working on the project and was able to arrange a plumber as a new leak was found.
