Kim Moya worked in my 5th grade classroom for several months while completing her teaching credential. She eagerly planned and implemented standards based lessons that incorporated hands-on activities and cooperative learning. Kim creatively added music and movement into many of her lessons, resulting in an exhilarating learning environment for students with diverse learning styles. Kim routinely went the "extra mile" to select, create, and organize supplemental materials to ensure that all students would have access to, and understanding of, the core curriculum. Her positive nature and patience set students at ease. Kim made it her mission to connect with both the students and their families, making all feel welcome and special. Kim taught in my second grade classroom for 2 months. She instantly made a connection with all of my students and their families to establish her own working relationship. Kim was always on-time and willing to do what was asked. Her lessons were appropriate for all learners with built-in scaffolding. She used manipulatives, partner work, and always checked for understanding. My experience with Kim in the classroom was excellent!
