Why I teach After much reflection of over 50+ years teaching Professionally and 60 years total, I teach because of the awesome people I have met in my lifetime. They have taught me so much more than I have taught them and I love the “aha moments” that I get when they get it. That is a natural high - without sounding corny. But, it’s always been about meeting people, knowing people, learning about their backgrounds and where they’ve come from - their goals, their experiences. What other career can give you that opportunity? I am a great teacher. I have all the credentials you could want and I’ve done it solely with no benefits of any kind where many teachers have other sidelines to subsidize their income. My students often come back and say how much I’ve helped them and how much they love Golf now after thinking it was so difficult. I guess I made it simple and more fun even for the serious golfers who went on to win Club Championships, State and Junior amateur events, and even trying for various Professional Tours. That’s all nice for me and kudos, but it’s really what I get from them. So that’s my story and I’ve had this dream of teaching since second grade but never knew how awesome it would turn out to be.😎 Below is the bio that Thumbtack wanted me to post about all of my accomplishments. If you are looking for an experienced instructor who has coached a wide variety of clients, with numerous years of both teaching and competing, and someone who has worked with all levels and abilities - men, women, and juniors - you have found the right person here. I simplify the swing components so they are manageable and easy to understand and - for so many - to even have fun doing so! It is only a game after all. My students have the added benefit of the more than 2500 hours of instruction I have taken myself from all of the top instructors who set the groundwork for teachers today. I have held teaching positions at numerous high-end resorts, golf facilities, The Professional Golfers Career College in Temecula, national Golf Schools, MSJC, LPGA Executive Clinics, Nike Junior camps, and many more. I have also been awarded many honors and played professionally for 13 years, 2 on the LPGA Tour.
