- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will dialogue with you over the phone or text to get a feel for what you are looking for in our yoga sessions. No matter your experience level or physical capabilities, I want to help you unfold a sustainable and joyful yoga practice!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over a thousand hours of formal "Yoga Teacher Training" which took place in the US, Canada, and India; and over 3000 hours of experience teaching yoga (For reference, the minimum number of hours of training to be a yoga teacher [recognized by Yoga Alliance] is 200 hours with 30 hours of teaching experience). My formal music degree is in Vocal Performance, which laid the foundation for a deep understanding of the breath-- the main tool we attempt to harness in our yoga practice. I feel so lucky to have mostly trained with the master yogis and educators at Mount Madonna Center in Santa Cruz, CA, who had 40 years to study with a real Indian yogic monk named Baba Hari Dass before he passed in 2018. I didn't get much time with Babaji when he was on the earth, but his writings have inspired and informed my ethical and practical standards for yoga instruction.
