We had an initial 2 hours evaluation with our dog Roscoe and after following Graciela's advice how to train Roscoe we saw an improvement in Roscoe's behaviors. Her methods are more effective than the group training and really caters to the one-on-one situation and answers our questions via emails promptly in between visits. We will definitely continue to work with her to get our rescue dog on track (who is 3 years old and we don't know his history). She is very professional and easy to communicate with and she is helping us out a great deal.

Details: 1 dog • 2 - 10 years old • Large (41 - 70 lbs) • Private dog training lessons • General obedience training • Leash pulling • House training • I travel to the dog trainer • The dog trainer travels to me

She was very helpful with our dog Zeke in understanding how his mind works. Very enlightening and helpful. Can’t thank her enough!

Graciela was a great help when dealing with our 2 year old German Shepherd Mix destructive behavior. We left every appointment feeling confident and well informed about the plan that was developed to address the issue.

I recently got a new puppy and was looking for guidance on training techniques for basic obedience, chewing behaviors, potty and crate training. Graciela was and continues to be a huge help on setting my puppy up for success. She is very attentive, explains and demonstrates every technique very well, and is a huge asset in making me confident that I am doing right by my pup. :)

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I have set prices for certain training programs but being self employed allows me to adjust my prices if needed to better assist clients when seeking help for their pet.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

For basic obedience training or puppies I always recommend to start with our 1 hour training sessions as this appointment is great to start working on commands, we can address potty training, crate training, etc. For behavior concerns I always recommend starting with the 1.5 hour appointment so we have enough time to go over the history of the behavior, develop a problem list if needed, discuss management, and start the initial steps of a plan. Following the 1.5 hour appointment I recommend 1 hour follow up visits where I can assist you with implementing the recommendations along with making any adjustments if needed.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been working as a veterinarian technician for 5 years focusing on behavior. I obtained my B.S. in animal science and am current finishing my M.S. in Applied Companion Behavior Analysis and Counseling.
