I have been a photographer and photography instructor going back to the 1980s, with professional experience - portraiture, nature, abstract, film (multiple formats), digital. My portraiture preference these days is on simplicity, with available lighting situations. I know what to do in a studio environment, I choose not to work there. As instructor, I have helped students across a range of backgrounds and skills levels. I am comfortable in classroom settings, as well as in field situations. Photography continues to be a passion, even after a good number of years. There is a uniqueness to the imagery I create. There is a strong pleasure when students realize a new or challenging concept, and grow their skills beyond where they had come into the conversation with.
