I have 14 years of industry experience as a refrigerator technician . I specialize on residential refrigerator repairs on the following brands: Amana, Electrolux, Frigidaire, GE, Jenn-Air, Kenmore, KitchenAid, LG, Samsung, Whirlpool Bosch and Magic Chef. I perform sealed system work that includes changing compressors and evaporators with an Environmental Protection Agency license (EPA). With my method of predictive troubleshooting, I usually carry the part with me when I'm on my way to fix your refrigerator issue. I contacted thumtack early sunday morning. Phil was of the respondents from my query. I got a hold of him around mid day. He was very courteous and very knowledgeable on refridgerator repair. He used to work for sears but is on his own now. I was scheduled for service on monday afternoon. But since he was nearby he responded to the call at 6:30p that same day. Needless to say he was able to diagnose my issue (ice maker tray was cracked), and installed a replacement in about 45 mins. Exteremly happy with his response and service. Keep up the good work Phil!

If you’re looking for someone to help you fix your appliance, don’t look any further. Phil was so quick to respond and came over quickly to check out our fridge that was broken. He was beyond professional, honest, and on top of getting things fixed quickly and efficiently. I can’t begin to thank him enough for fixing our fridge so fast! If we had gone with LG (the brand of fridge we have), we’d still be without a working one for at least another week or two. Phil is officially our ‘go to’ appliance repairman.

Phil was very knowledgeable about the problem with my refrigerator, came out promptly, took everything apart, diagnosed the problem, and told me that a repair would only be a bandaid. I really appreciated his honesty, as did not try to sell me parts that would only temporarily fix the problem. He cleaned up the area, and only charged me the $40 as he only did a diagnostic. He was here for about an hour. Very pleased.....

THERE IS A $60 DIAGNOSTIC FEE FOR TROUBLESHOOTING THAT WILL BE WAIVED IF THE CUSTOMER DECIDES TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. ADDITIONALLY, A $60 FEE IS CHARGED FOR ANY DECLINED ESTIMATES OR NON-REPAIRABLE ISSUES.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I TYPICALLY ASK FOR THE MODEL AND SERIAL NUMBER ALONG WITH A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. HAVING THE PART(S) REQUIRED AND FIXING IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME IS MY GOAL.
