I started my plumbing & HVAC career in 1997 while working at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena California for 6 years. We make contact with the customer(s). I evaluate the concern. When I locate the problem, I advise the customer(s) about a few different options if there is any and I give a fair quote. If the customer(s) want to use my services. I do not ask for money up front. I do the needed repairs and then I invoice the customer(s).
