I've been taking lessons with Andrew for a few months now and it's been really cool. He has been able to organize lessons to meet me where I'm at. He is very patient while I struggle through new, challenging material. He has been able to answer questions on the fly, proving that he has an extensive knowledge of drumming and music theory. Overall very high quality and only room for him to grow from here as he works his way through music school.

Andrew is an awesome drum set teacher. He’s been super warm and attentive ever since we started lessons about 6 months ago and I’ve already learned a lot (I was a total beginner). He’s really good at giving me tools to improve that cater to my own learning style and he goes the extra mile to explain not just the drum kit but about how rhythm and music work as a whole. He’s really changed my relationship to music and has given me exactly what I wanted in learning an instrument.

Everything about my lessons is amazing. Andrew is extremely knowledgeable, can really play, and is super patient when going over concepts. I was a beginner when I started lessons, and after only a couple months I already feel comfortable playing to songs and soloing! I hope that I can keep studying with Andrew for years!!!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will always start with finding motivations and defining goals and with a student. It’s important for my students to feel like I am addressing what they want to be working so that they can meet those goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended San Francisco School of The Arts and am now a current student at California Institute of The Arts. I have been playing drums for about 11 years and have studied many different kinds of music with many different teachers.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Mostly younger students and a few adult students all ages are welcome!
