• What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

  We price our work based on what we find at the property, not just what someone describes over the phone. A clogged drain, leaking pipe or sewer problem can have several different causes, and we don’t want to sell someone the wrong repair before we’ve looked at it. Once we diagnose the problem, we try to give the customer options when there are options. Sometimes that means a smaller repair. Other times we’ll explain why spending more now may prevent having to repair the same system again later. We go over the work and pricing before moving forward so the customer understands what they’re approving.

• What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

  First, we listen to what’s been happening and then inspect the plumbing ourselves. That may be as simple as checking a leaking fixture, or it may involve a sewer camera, pressure test, leak detection equipment, drain testing or evaluating the existing piping. One thing we put a lot of emphasis on is showing customers what we find. If we’re recommending a sewer repair because we found roots, an offset, a broken pipe or standing water, we want the homeowner to understand why we’re recommending it. From there we explain the available repair options, answer questions and let the customer decide how they want to proceed. We work throughout Ventura County, including Ventura, Camarillo, Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Moorpark and the surrounding areas.

• What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

  Our company has been in plumbing for more than 30 years. We hold a California C-36 Plumbing license as well as a Class A General Engineering license. That allows our experience to go beyond typical plumbing service work into larger underground water and sewer projects as well. Our crews work on everything from water heaters, drain cleaning and leak repairs to whole-house repipes, sewer replacements, hydro jetting, sewer lining, pipe bursting, gas piping, water filtration and underground utilities. Plumbing has changed quite a bit over the years, especially the equipment used to diagnose problems and the methods available for repairing underground piping. We continue training our technicians as those systems and technologies change.
