I have 20 years experience cooking for others with an education in France. Using only the freshest organic and sustainable fruits and vegetables from local markets and Couple Berry"s Farm in Vista, Ca. Everyone at the event or party will be satisfied with my Healthy Gourmet Comfort Food. I specialize in ethnic dishes such as Mexican, Italian, Mediterranean, & traditional French & American cuisine. I am able to alter and create dishes for clients with alternative dietary request such as gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

Cooking comes natural to me. Creating new dishes and altering recipes to suit the palates of my clients is challenging and rewarding. I like to use simple ingredients to bring out the flavor of the food. Food can feed the spirit as well as the body and it should with it's aroma, color, taste and texture. It is an art form for me.

    Chris is a wonderful chef. She prepares delicious meals and manages to do this while using the healthiest ingredients. She is incredibly creative and accommodating. She's able to juggle many different food requests and provide amazing options for everyone, from vegans and red meat eaters. Chris is an absolute pleasure and I cannot recommend her enough!!

    Chris is Amazing!! She really knows how to make your dining experience special. She tailors the menu to your wants, likes, needs, restrictions etc and it is always delicious. And the best part is she does all of the work for you. She does the shopping, the cooking and the cleanup! She takes all of the headaches out of hosting dinner parties and makes it so you can actually enjoy the night along with your guests. Can't wait until our next dinner party!     My husband surprised me for my birthday with dinner cooked in my home by Christine. We have young children. Going out to dinner can be less than relaxing with a 2 year old and expensive to boot. Christine prepared butternut curry. It was fantastic! Even better was the sweet potato flan. Incredible! We will definitely be doing this again! Thanks, Christine!

    She helped me with yellow curry with chicken, potatoes, onions and carrots. It was quite nice to be able to do this at my place. It took about an hour and a half from start to meal time and the food was really flavorful! She was calm and patient which made the experience really fun.

    I hosted a bachelorette dinner party at my home. We wanted the dinner to be special and unique. Not only did Christine deliver she went above and beyond. The food was excellent from beginning to end. Everything was fresh delicious and exceeded any expectations. Chris is not only an amazing cook but lovely to be around. She made our dinner party so wonderful from the first bite of the appetizers to the last bite of dinner. She was very professional but not stuffy and uptight she had a great balance. All of the women could not have been happier and could not stop talking about how great the dinner was. I would recommend to anyone! We appreciate how wonderful she did.

    Christine McMaster is a hidden gem of the culinary and catering world! She was the caterer last year for a wedding I attended and I was most impressed. She completely handled an amazing dinner for 21 people with delectable Indian and Middle Eastern Food; taking care of the shopping, the food preparation, the service and cleaning up of the food and leftovers. I was so impressed that I asked her to cater an Indian Meal for 75 people! Since it was a much larger undertaking, we provided theingredients, but Chris oversaw every aspect of the preparation of a 5 course meal, and remained calm, organized and personable throughout. The food was absolutely delicious. I would absolutely recommend her for any catering needs you might have - you would be lucky to get her!

    On Saturday I attended a dinner that she catered. There were 70 people or so. It was a 4 course meal and it was delicious. Well prepared and well presented and most importantly served ON TIME!

    Our plans to have our wedding meal prepared by our favorite restaurant fell thru 3 weeks before our wedding. I knew Christine Mcmaster as an excellent cook and had been to 2 private dinners catered by her. Quite anxious, I called her and she put me at ease with her assurances and suggestions to take my time and figure out what we would really like. Great advice! We chose Mediterranean food. Together with Chris we quickly settled on a menu. There were so many details but she handled it all from overseeing the table setting, shopping, deliveries and arranging table display. It was amazing I actually could relax. The meal was sumptuous elegantly prepared and plated all by Chris and her kitchen staff. Our dinner menu was: A simple greek salad, hummus, tzatziki, baba ganoush, roasted vegetables, flat bread Then Shawarma lamb, roasted chickens, and feta rice w/ pistachios. There were 35 people at the wedding meal and all the courses were on time and beautifully plated. The kitchen was quiet and when I went in everyone was smiling and extremely busy. Chris ran the kitchen in a quiet organized way that was contagious to all who worked there. Truly an amazing woman. Her sense of elegance shined thru both in the delicious food and its presentation. My husband and I will have lasting memories of Christine and how she stepped in and played an integral part in helping create our dream wedding. I highly recommend you have her cater any function. All you have to do is relax and enjoy it.

    I know Chris' cooking since many years and i need to say it is outstanding, splendid, exellent. Not only that she always uses the freshest bio quality foods, she also has a knack for putting it together and spycing it up to perfection.     We hired Chris after tasting her cooking at our friend's dinner party where she was the chef. She cooked dinner for us off & on during the week when our schedules got to be too much. This was during the early years of parenting and making dinner after being at work just didn't fit in my schedule. We loved having her in our home and her food was always so delicious and nurturing! I loved her help it freed up about 8 hours a week for me to spend time with the kids and or relaxing as a family. Dinner time was so enjoyable since I wasn't the one making it or cleaning up. I think she is a fine chef with a very special touch. We went to a Dinner party last summer where she was the cook...her roasted chicken w/ pasta and pesto was divine! Tracy

    I have been to two different dinner parties and I am so impressed with the fabulous top-quality food prepared and served by Christine! Everything was amazing including the organic baby herb lettuce with confetti cabbage that was served with a roasted chicken salad. My friends and I are still talking about the delicious Panaang Coconut Curry with shrimp. Truly the best I've ever had! And the amazing dessert -a flourless chocolate cake and vanilla bean ice cream. Looking forward to the next time.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied at a small university in Aix en Provence in the South of France. They offered studies of French cuisine and I emphasized this in my studies. Now I mostly travel a lot and taste and take course in the cuisines I love.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
l have always loved to cook even in high school. When I lived in France I went to a small university where I studied French language, Culture, History,& Cuisine. This opened up a whole new world for me around food. When I returned to the States I began cooking for friends and family every chance I had. They began telling me I should be doing this for others. And so I did. I worked for private clients as a personal chef and @ a retreat center in the high desert of Arizona for 15 years. My own journey with food has been dealing with food allergies. My diet changed 12 years. I began creating delicious alternative recipes for my self and found there were many people who were no longer able to eat dairy, gluten or nuts but who were not willing to skimp on taste. My journey has opened up another service in my business that offers healthy gourmet comfort food along with traditional and ethnic dishes.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I catered a business seminar for the third time in December. The business owner who hired me never knows if his potential clients can eat everything or if there are certain dietary needs in the group. I took the liberty of preparing gluten fee, vegetarian and dairy free options, At the first and last seminar I did there were 3 to 4 people who needed alternative options. They were so pleased surprised with the selection of dishes offered. Needless to say my client was very pleased!
