Childbirth Prep Classes now held at "giggle" in Walnut Creek. I am a birth doula certified with DONA International and a Childbirth Educator certified with Lamaze. My services include the following: * continual support during birth * pain-coping practices * position suggestions * light massage during labor * visualization techniques * tools for effectively communicating with care providers * assistance in breastfeeding and achieving a good latch * optional music and aroma therapy * optional custom-made hospital gowns My childbirth education classes are interactive and informative. I thoroughly explain the changes your body will go through and what you can expect during pregnancy, birth and beyond. You will learn active relaxation, breathing strategies, pain management, alternatives to interventions, childbirth choices, comfort positions, and creating a birth plan.
