FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Transparency – Every proposal is fully itemized so you can see exactly what materials, labor, and services you’re paying for. No hidden charges. Deposits & Payments – A deposit is required to begin fabrication and secure materials. Progress payments are tied to milestones or scope completions. Labor Rates – Labor is billed at a standard hourly rate, with adjustments depending on crew size and job complexity. Materials – Material costs are either provided as lump sums or broken down in detail. Freight, delivery, and galvanizing (if applicable) may be listed separately. Taxes & Fees – Local sales tax is applied where required. Dump fees or permit fees are passed through at cost. Discounts – We may offer discounts for larger projects, repeat customers, or bundled scopes. Ask if your project qualifies. Change Orders – Any changes outside the original scope are priced separately, with written approval required before work continues. Profit & Overhead – A standard markup is applied to cover business overhead and ensure project continuity.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our Typical Process for Working With a New Customer Initial Consultation We begin with a conversation (by phone, email, or site visit) to understand your project needs, goals, and budget. We may request photos, sketches, or inspiration ideas to get a clear vision of what you’re looking for. Site Visit & Measurements If required, we’ll visit the project site to take precise measurements and assess existing conditions. This helps us confirm design feasibility and catch any site-specific challenges early. Proposal & Estimate We prepare a detailed, itemized proposal with scope, materials, labor, and timeline clearly outlined. You’ll also see payment structure (deposit, progress payments, final balance) and any optional upgrades. Approval & Deposit Once you’re satisfied with the proposal, you sign and provide the deposit to lock in materials and scheduling. Fabrication & Procurement We order all necessary materials and begin fabrication (if applicable). Throughout this phase, we’ll keep you updated on progress and scheduling. Installation / Construction Our crew completes the on-site installation with attention to detail, safety, and code compliance. We coordinate inspections (if required) and ensure minimal disruption to your property. Final Walkthrough & Completion Once the project is complete, we walk through everything with you to confirm satisfaction. Final payment is collected only after approval. Aftercare & Support We provide guidance on maintenance (painting, sealing, cleaning, etc.). For custom work, we remain available for future adjustments, repairs, or expansions.
