We hired eXtraordinary Tour Service for a sports team trip. I posted on Thumbtack and they responded very quickly which I appreciated. What I did not appreciate though was the difference in quoting that I received right away vs. after 2 days. No information changed - I had given all the info the first time - number of people, pick up, drop off, time of day yet the second quote was 50% higher than the first and by that time I had stopped corresponding with other options. I felt that it was not the most straightforward or transparent practice. The bus was nice though and our kids got there and back safely.

I was planning a birthday party to Napa for a large group, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience than what I got with Dean and eXtraordinary Tour Services. During the planning phase, Dean contacted wineries that I had in mind on my behalf to get quotes. Although one looked promising, Dean told me that he actually had another place in mind and introduced us to Rutherford Hill Winery, where we were able to enjoy a picnic on the hill with great views. The bus itself was very nice. It was a coach style bus (all seats facing forward) with comfortable seats. Only downside here was that the bus had no cup holders and the bluetooth connection to the speakers was not reliable (frequently cut out). Overall, I'll definitely work with Dean again next time I plan an event to Napa, or anytime I need group transportation really.

So much fun! Dean picked us up at our doorstep and brought us back. He even walked with an umbrella over my head because it was drizzling a bit. When we got into the van, he had a chilled bottle of champagne and orange juoce, as well as waters, and some yummy snacks like granola bars and nuts. We had a great time and the van is very comfortable. Would definitely hire them again for our next family outting. Thanks again Dean!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We book our 6 passenger van at a base rate of $65 per hour -but we do have all inclusive packages and special's year round.!We also provide tours for larger groups -please contact us for custom quotes
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I work with a new customer I try and determine what they really are hoping to experience , see and do on their tour. I am interested in what they want and will suggest the best options for them.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with travelers, tourists and locals alike. Many of my customers are first timers to San Francisco or Napa wine region. Many are locals looking for a safe and comfortable trip. I have provided tours from people from France, England, Canada ,China and Spain as well as many locals living in San Francisco as many other cities in the Bay Area .
