It was great working with Anna. I had another make up appointment that fell through, so I was so glad I found Anna last minute through Thumbtack. She was so responsive and, while the photos of her work online were already so nice, I was even more impressed when she finished doing my make up for me for a photoshoot. The make up lasted throughout the day and didn’t get dry/melt even towards the end of the day, it was well applied and suited my complexion/look. Anna was so nice and we had a nice chat during the appointment, she was very professional, experienced, accommodating, and I also thought reasonably priced for Bay Area make up services. I definitely recommend Anna if you’re looking for a make up/hair artist, she was also effective with her time!

Finding Anna was truly one of the highlights of our wedding weekend. I hired her for hair and makeup on two consecutive days for a family wedding, asking her to create two entirely different looks. I brought a few inspiration photos, and rather than simply recreating them, she thoughtfully explained what would work best for my hair length, texture, and facial features. Her recommendations demonstrated both her artistic talent and her deep understanding of beauty, and I trusted her completely.

From the moment she arrived, it was evident that she is an accomplished professional. Her makeup station was beautifully organized, complete with an extensive selection of products in every shade imaginable and professional freestanding lighting that created the perfect environment for flawless application. Her hairstyling kit was equally impressive, meticulously organized and equipped with every tool necessary to create a polished, salon-quality finish.

Each appointment lasted approximately three hours, yet the time passed effortlessly. Anna has a wonderful personality—warm, engaging, and easy to talk to—which made the entire experience as enjoyable as it was relaxing.

The finished results exceeded every expectation. Both looks were elegant, sophisticated, and flawlessly executed, while still feeling natural and perfectly suited to me. The makeup photographed beautifully, lasted throughout the day and evening, and the hairstyles remained impeccable despite hours of celebrating. I received countless compliments on both days.

Anna is exceptionally talented, detail-oriented, and an absolute pleasure to work with. I only wish she lived closer because she would unquestionably become my regular hair and makeup artist. If you’re looking for someone who combines remarkable artistry with professionalism and genuine kindness, I cannot recommend her highly enough.
