We had such a great experience! My husband and I did a long distance move from Los Angeles to Portland for law school. I was pretty nervous about which movers to go with — you are entrusting your entire life’s belongings with them so did extensive research on every option from large moving companies to PODS to UHauls. We were also pretty budget conscious so were shocked at the prices we kept getting back. But when I got the quote from I Need To Be Moved I was excited but honestly a little skeptical because of the affordability compared to everyone else. Plus I’ve dealt with so many scammers online I really wanted to do my due diligence. Their front office was incredibly kind and patient, answering all our questions, providing referrals and video testimonials that made us confident enough to move forward. The moving team was so professional. They clearly take their job very seriously and treated our belongings with the utmost care. The team even drove hours out of their way en route to Portland so as to avoid the wildfires (which we hadn’t even thought to ask about). I couldn’t recommend this company more. I know moving is a really high stress experience but I Need To Be Moved made the transition painless.

Marie is awesome & Mike and team are so great. They were super helpful in all our planning. We did two moves & one to storage with them. They took great care of us & took the pain out of moving ;)

I just don't have enough kind words for this company. They responded faster than anyone and were extremely professional, friendly and didn't damage a single item. They were EXTREMELY affordable as well. We moved our things into PODS 5 months ago with another company and we are still dealing with issues. My husband and I both agreed that our move out couldn't have gone better!

Although I was slightly nervous at first due to some of the negative comments on this page, my boyfriend and I decided to take a chance on Mike&Shaw due to their unbeatable price. We compared with 5 other moving companies in our area and they provided us with the lowest price for our move (more than $400 in savings). From the first comment/question regarding the move, Marie was very attentive and timely with her responses. She was very honest and direct regarding cost, supplies provided and overall expected time frame of our move. She contacted me several times during the move to ensure we were on track and that we had no concerns. In addition, all the movers who assisted us were also very professional and timely. 2 men moved us out in 4 hours (from a 3rd floor apartment with no elevator access) and 2 men moved us in in 2.5 hours (into a 2nd floor apartment with no elevator access). Very hard working and honest professionals. Only negative was the length of time it took the movers to drive the truck to our new apartment. Took them 9 hours (with a regular car usually is 5 hours) due to having to drop off/pick up different movers in the process. Despite this delay, we are definitely glad we took a chance on this company and will no doubt hire them again for future moves.
