- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have a standard pricing system for those who have to have one. However, there are expectations that are unspoken in standard pricing systems and this is were a lot of photographers get themselves in trouble. Because there will be a service or product that the potential customer believes is part of the standard pricing system that will cause problems down the road if a consultation is not preformed and everyone is on the same page.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to do a consultation, this gives both parties an opportunity to size each other up to determine if we can work together. It also helps in realizing the vision of the project so that both parties are on the same page.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a professional portrait photographer for over 30 years, and have been involved with hundreds of workshops as well as working for major companies as a trainer and mentor.
