Hello! My name is Josh and I’m a lifeguard with LA County Lakes and also an EMT for an ambulance company during my off season of lifeguarding! I’m currently training for LA 2028 Olympic Trials with a pro team in Pasadena at the Boys and Girls Club! I train with many Olympic Trials swimmers, including a Tokyo Medalist from 2020!!
I’ve been teaching swimming lessons to all ages and also to special needs students since 2018. I first started teaching at the YMCA, then moved to a place in Long Beach called Deep Blue Swim School, then to the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center, and currently helping a friend in Huntington Beach over there coach his swim team!
I’d LOVE and very willing to help anyone know how
to swim, as swimming is a huge and major passion of mine and teaching students as well!

Amazing experience w coach Josh, if I would use some words to describe him, they would be fun, professional, good vibes, effective! He did three lessons w my kids (straight days, swim camp style) while I was visiting from out of town and he managed to get their confidence up and help improve techniques. He’s also great at communicating…. Responsive via text msg and follows up, making sure everything is clear. Would definitely recommend.
