FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing really depends on my client. I do sometimes take jobs that I know I am not making money on, but do it anyway. My pricing varies by the amount of time, what I am photographing, how far I have to drive, and what they want to include. For example, I always have clients ask; "How much is a photo album?". Albums vary from $250 to $3500. Images are printed directly on each page, however pages can be like a regular photo book to thick pages up to 3mm thick. They come in soft cover, hard cover with a photo on the front with acrylic, fabric hard cover, leatherette cover, and genuine leather covers. They also vary from 10 sides to 80 sides and sizes 3x3 to 16x20. Plus so many extra options.... I will work with you to get you exactly what you want and make it as easy and painless as possible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a wedding and event specialist that teaches photography and more specifically wedding photography...not just tips and tricks with the camera, but customer service, latest trends, great places to shoot, great ideas for new shots, and all kinds of things to keep it fresh and fun for both me and my clients. I also belong to the Professional Photographers of America, where photographers around the country post and blog about weddings, shoots, new equipment, situations that come up and we can post our work and have it critiqued by other professional photographers.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got into my line of work first and foremost because of the love of photography. I get to capture history being made on the most beautiful medium ever. I started out years ago doing friends and family's photos. I then married a man who has a love for movies and film that has worked doing wedding videos and movies. He told me that I should charge to do photography. I had college classes and had worked the wedding photographer from other events and finally to the leap.
