I honestly feared asking anyone to set foot my friend’s apartment. I was shocked when I first stepped foot it in last weekend. Despite airing it out for three days, it still smelled strongly of stale beer and sweat.

Marina didn’t bat an eye at a truly terrible job. She arrived right on time and proceeded to transform the apartment from hovel to hotel room. She sent me before-and-after photos a whopping five hours later (the metadata of which substantiated the time spent). Marina was an utter delight to work with.

I’m really excited to show my friend what it looks like now. I’m hopeful that Marina’s awesome work will inspire him to conquer the disease that brought the apartment to its sorry state.

My home looks and feels new. It is so clean and it smells nice. Marina worked hard for more than five hours to make it not just clean as can be, but as if it is new. Since she left I have taken moments from time to time sitting in the living room just enjoying the sense of peacefulness and aesthetic beauty.

I am also enjoying the little things I have been noticing during the past day or so. Something she moved out of the way to clean, and then put back, but in a slightly different place or slightly different way, causing me to think "yes, it is better that way." And I don't know how she got the black marks off the drain in the bathroom sink. I didn't think they could be removed. And the lovely thank you note and candle.

I had to cordon off one room because it just wasn't ready to be cleaned; too many piles of papers. I can't wait until I get it ready and ask Marina back so that she has had a chance to work her magic on the entire place.
