Kelly was great with my cat for his 1st shave ever. She was patient and talked to him to make him comfortable. She arrived on time and got right to work. The outcome was wonderful! My cat now looks like a tiny lion. I would recommend her to anyone who needs their cat shaved. I will call her the next time I need my cat shaved. Thanks so much, Kelly!!!!Jul 23, 2019Verified
She’s amazing! We will always have her as our groomer! Best we’ve ever had! Made our cat & us very happy. So lucky to have her!!Jun 13, 2019Verified
Kelly is so professional and knowlegeable. She came to our workshop so prepared, answered our questions and educated us on more than just grooming. Kelly is all about giving and was very generous with her time and expertise. We would love to have her lead a workshop again.Mar 18, 2019Verified
I have a very anxious Chihuahua that is difficult to work with. Kelly took the time to help him calm down and get used to her. She is very patient and kind, giving me tips on how to help him get better with her. All she did for him this time was cut his nails which is why I needed her, he needs to get used to her. She also groomed my other Chihuahua, who is now so beautiful. I would definitely recommend Kelly to anyone who has a special needs puppy.Apr 26, 2018Verified
She hasn't done the job yet but so far I'm pleased with her quick response and her reasonable quote.Jul 18, 2018Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Grooms START at $65 for a small dog and go up depending on services provided. Most often, I travel to the clients, but occasionally, they prefer to come to me in a shop setting (more days available). I bring all the equipment, shampoo, and table. The client provides a bathtub or sink appropriate to the dog's size, and one or two towels. Pricing increases for the following reasons: - travel is farther than the 20 mile radius - pet is matted, requiring a very careful short strip - pet injures me to the extent I feel I must seek medical attention (scratches and bruises are excluded) - extra services are requested, such as teeth brushing (prior notice required) or clean feet on a non-breed trim - pet is over 20 lbs or has a more complicated trim pattern such as a lamb cut.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Clients typically call me after being referred through somebody else. They set up an initial appointment, and we go from there. The first appointment usually is the longest in the process, from figuring out where to set up for the least amount of inconvenience, to the initial introduction between me and your fur-child(ren), to figuring out what trim is best suited to you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been grooming for eight years, and currently work at a shop in Yucaipa on Fridays and Saturdays, as well as serving house call clients, from Banning to San Bernardino. I do travel out farther with an applicable fee. I am also certified in Pet CPR and First Aid through PetTech, AKC Safe Groomer certified, and am currently undergoing an internship for dog training.
